The deep, heavy black color, along with the characteristic powerful glaze drips of Shino ware, are beautifully expressed as a landscape. The bottom is also clearly marked with the pottery seal that proves it is a genuine work by Kato Ken. A brocade cover (shifuku) and a vibrant vermilion net are included, making it a very high-class item as a decorative jar. The wooden matching lid is also carefully made. 【Uses】 For tea ceremony practice, as a tea caddy at tea gatherings.
