The 502 was originally the successor model to the 501ZXX, but the silhouette differs quite a bit depending on the era. The current 502 has a tapered silhouette with a leg opening of only around 18cm. This 140th-anniversary model has a straight silhouette with a slimmer waist than the 501. The rise is also a little shallower than the 501, I think. I recommend the Japanese reproduction version because the silhouette is better suited for Japanese people and the sewing is also cleaner, compared to the American-made ones that are in poor condition.
