I bought this new over 10 years ago. It runs on two AA batteries, is lightweight, and was a great help for band practice and live recordings. I was particularly fond of its microphone performance, which allowed for high-quality recordings. I haven't used it in a while, but when I turned it on this time, the clock was working correctly, and I confirmed that it can record and play back normally with both batteries and an AC adapter. Amazing, Made in Japan!
