It can be worn with various outfits regardless of age, such as furisode (long-sleeved kimono), visiting kimonos, colored tomesode (formal black kimono with colored design below the waist), iro-mugi (unpatterned colored kimono), tomesode (formal black kimono), and tsukesage (semi-formal kimono).
