Shakuhachi flute: This is a Shakuhachi flute by Shishida-ryu Chikusui. It is a 7-hon choshi, 7-hole model with a total tenchi (top and bottom) rattan wrap and a natural color finish. This Shakuhachi flute is a Shishida-ryu Chikusui, crafted by the second-generation flute maker, Chuichi Ito, of the Ito Takekanki Seisakusho, who succeeded the flute maker Shishida of the late Edo period. It was made in the late Showa era, over 40 years ago. The bamboo is well-dried and has a natural color, and the sound quality and tone are excellent, resulting in a fine instrument.
