This is a confectionary container by Kato Sakusuke, the greatest master of Seto-yaki ware. It is in the Oribe style, which Sakusuke was known for. The painting is applied not only to the inside of the container but also to the underside of the lid, and the design and shape of the container are both impeccably executed. It is undoubtedly one of the finest Oribe confectionary containers available on the market. There are no noticeable cracks or chips. Comes with a wooden storage box.
