Sampling & Shouting (recording & voice playback) function confirmed, each for about 7 seconds (requires one 9V square battery for operation). As it is a toy from that time, the audio quality is not as clear as a typical recorder. There are no noticeable scratches or stains on the main body, but there are small scratches and scuffs.
