This is a child's knife with a protective cover that I used when camping with my child. It has been used less than 5 times, but there is some minor wear and tear from use. The blade is protected by a plastic cover, and the yellow plastic part is a lock to prevent it from accidentally coming out. See photo 3. Also, as you can see in photo 6, the tip of the blade is serrated, which also seems to be a safety precaution. There are no instructions. I think this will be a favorite tool when cooking with your child. Please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned about minor details. Thank you.
