Mr. Riiichi Urano created a wide range of works, including tsumugi, yuzen, and bingata. Among them, "Tatefushi Tsumugi" woven with knotted threads is representative. He passed away in 1991 at the age of 90, and his collection and materials were inherited by his son, Norio. However, the workshop closed because the "Hyotan thread," a knotted thread made by spinning raw silk, became unavailable.
