The drums do respond, but as shown in the second photo, the edge where the tape is applied, and the drum in the third photo, the edge where the tape is applied, don't respond well or at all. It's not unplayable, and some people might not mind, but I can't sell it as problem-free. Also, while it's playable, part of the stand is chipped. Please understand that this is a junk item. It's a shame to throw it away, so I think it can be used if your child wants to try it out. I'm selling it at a low price. Please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned about minor details.
