There are no scratches or stains on the main unit. The double-sided tape for attaching it to the wall is dirty. It can still be used as is, but it would be better to use new double-sided tape. I was using it at the office, but I no longer need it due to relocation. The batteries are still usable. The functionality is good, and I think it's a great deal.
