Listed for sale to organize my collection. The mark on the foot rim is the character for "Tsutsue" (筒江) written in a stylized form within a double frame, and is dyed in blue and white. This piece was made at the Tsutsue kiln in Yamauchi-cho, Arita, and is a rare example among Ko-Imari pieces that bear the kiln's name. I believe this is a high-quality Ko-Imari plate with octopus arabesque design, in terms of its blue and white dyeing, design, and finish. Diameter: Approximately 14.5 cm Height: Approximately 4.5 cm Both plates have minor crazing, but are generally in good condition without cracks or chips.
