I bought this as a souvenir during a trip to Vietnam in the 2010s, directly from the kiln. I was drawn to its beautiful, distinctive red color. I am listing this as part of my end-of-life preparations. In the past, the Japanese greatly prized this type of pottery, known as Annam ware.
