This is a vase by the tenth generation Ohi Chozaemon, a recipient of the Order of Culture. Toshio was the tenth generation of Ohi Chozaemon, a renowned name in Ohi ware, and one of the few masters who received the Order of Culture, a higher honor than Living National Treasure. This piece has a beautiful amber glaze, perfectly embodying Ohi ware. The narrow mouth, suitable for a hanging flower vase, shows ingenuity and a more refined craftsmanship compared to typical pieces. The era is said to be from a previous work (a younger work).
