Leaping onto the world stage with modern lacquerware, becoming Japan's largest lacquerware production center. In the 1950s, we were quick to embrace the creation of innovative products using synthetic materials. We developed a variety of practical modern lacquerware products, taking advantage of their characteristics: easy handling and maintenance, freedom of color and shape, affordability, speed, and the possibility of mass production. From everyday lacquerware to tableware for food service, as well as the gift and interior markets, we shipped products domestically and globally, establishing the Yamanaka brand. By the 1980s, we had grown significantly to become Japan's largest lacquerware production center.
