I made this using seashells and driftwood collected from beachcombing, keeping them as close to their natural state as possible with minimal alterations. The shells have holes and chips. They aren't perfectly smooth and shiny, but that's what makes them beautiful and endearing. Each shell seems to sway in the wind and chatter, and I'm soothed by their pleasant sounds. Please handle with care, as they are delicate. Collected in Miyagi Prefecture. The string is hemp.
