This is an L.L.BEAN women's mountain parka. Although it's a women's item, the button placket is the same as a men's, so a man who wears a men's M would also be able to wear it comfortably. The sleeves might be a little short. Regarding the condition, as it is an older item, there are some stains, particularly around the hood (see images). I believe these stains can be removed with something like OxiClean. There were a few small holes in the plaid lining, but they have been repaired.
