[Cloth] Made of high-quality, preserved silk material, a special pre-dyed Omeshi "Mikeshi" (see the fabric notation in the image). It has a subdued pale light blue-green (pale moss green) color and a subtle sheen. It has a smooth texture. Since there are few fine-patterned silk materials of Enshu Shippo, this material is rare, and for me, it's a rare piece. Anyone, regardless of age or gender, can use it casually with sophistication and elegance. Enshu Shippo: This pattern, called Enshu Doushi, is a design favored by Kobori Enshu, who became a master of the tea ceremony after Rikyu, Oribe, and Sekishu. It is famous as a pattern of famous textile fragments. The stylized chrysanthemum, karahana (Chinese flower), peony, and Shippo patterns are woven within the Ishidatami (stone pavement) pattern. As it is a Ko-fukusa, it has been stiffened with interfacing for a crisp finish. [Size] The traditional size of Ko-fukusa used in the Urasenke school of tea ceremony. It is also used by those who practice Kodo (incense ceremony). Finished size: Made with a template of 5 sun (15.2cm) x 5 sun 3 bu (16.3cm), but please allow for slight variations.
