This is a simple and warm rice container made by Masuda Kiribako Ten, a long-established paulownia wood box maker. The moisture-regulating and insect-repelling properties of paulownia wood keep the rice delicious. To make it easy to see the contents, they uniquely developed a combination of a highly transparent acrylic lid and the traditional paulownia box technique called "shihou-zan." The shihou-zan lid is airtight and also has the feature of not easily coming off even if it is knocked over. There are two grooves on the back of the lid that can be hooked onto the edge of the main body, which is convenient when refilling the contents. You can attach a one-go masu (measuring cup) to the back of the lid, which prevents the masu from being buried in the rice.
