This item was available in the 2000s, and it's been nearly 20 years since production ended (see the manufacturer's catalog from 2005 in the last photo). We often saw these at pools and beaches in the 2000s. The material is a non-transparent, matte finish that is not often seen these days. This material was commonly used in floats manufactured from the mid-Showa era to around the early Heisei era. It is a "ST" certified toy safety standard product. There are fold marks from storage. There is also some dirt and paint peeling (see photos 10 and 11). The string is missing. Also, the holes for the string are starting to tear (see photos 8 and 9).
