This is a sake cup (guinomi) by Mochiko Ichino of Tansokama kiln, Tamba Tachikui ware. It features slipware with patterns on all four sides. I purchased it new several years ago and used it as a sake vessel about three times before it was stored in a cupboard. There may be some minor scratches, but there are no noticeable chips or damage. The bottom is marked with the "Tansokama" stamp. The shape and firing are excellent, resulting in an atmospheric finish. ▼Approximate Size Diameter: 8cm Height: 5.2cm Foot width: 3.6cm Tansokama is a historic Tachikui ware kiln, also known for being a regular lodging place for Bernard Leach. The kiln owner, Mochiko Ichino, along with the previous generation's Mora Ichino, was invited by Leach and studied the slipware technique in St Ives, England. ※Important Notes I do not smoke, and I do not have any pets, so there are no particular odors. I will reuse cardboard boxes, newspapers, etc., for packing materials. #Mingei #Mingei #TambaTachikuiWare #Tansokama
