◇ About the Makers ◇ We sell handmade shinobue flutes crafted by a father and daughter team in Shimane Prefecture, who have been teaching shinobue for about 25 years. If you need it urgently, please leave a comment. ◇ Description ◇ A 5-note shinobue is three semitones lower than an 8-note shinobue, resulting in a calm tonal range similar to the human voice. Even songs with sharps (#) or flats (♭) at the beginning of the score can be played smoothly by transposing them to C major, without using many semitones. Included: Instruction manual (fingering chart) 【Specifications】 ◯ Length: Approximately 48.5cm, Diameter: Approximately 21mm (near the mouthpiece) ◯ Material: Shinotake (female bamboo) (dried for over 3 years, then heat-treated) ◯ Bore: Painted with synthetic azuki (cashew) lacquer ◯ Exterior: Painted with synthetic lacquer (cashew) ◯ Binding thread: Ivory color 20g of lead is inserted inside the head joint for stability adjustment. Wood filler is used for the mouthpiece reflector to prevent melting in the summer heat. Transparent lacquer (cashew) is applied to the binding thread for beauty and durability. The tuning is adjusted with a tuner to the high note (second octave), allowing for ensemble playing and performance with other instruments.
