“Ikaruga no Sora” is a piece composed in 1983, with the current version published as a revised edition in 1997. It has a very "Japanese" feel and is often performed as a free choice piece in wind band competitions, especially recently by small bands. A junior high school in Shimane Prefecture performed it with a band of 8 members and won the top prize at the branch competition. I also used to direct a small band, so I bought this score as a potential free choice piece. However, when actually performing it with a small number of players, it became clear that various adjustments would be necessary, and considering the procedures for revision, it would take too much effort and time, so I gave up on performing it in the competition. The score is in good condition, having only been used for reading, and is suitable for performance. However, please understand that it is a used score.
