It utilizes the tension of the rubber, so it conforms well to your foot, and the return after stepping is fast. I can't convey the feel, so I'd like you to try it yourself, but I think even those accustomed to the feel of springs will be able to use it without any problems. The board is made of wood, which is lighter than iron, but the volume is good. You can adjust the tension with the number, turns, and length of hair ties or rubber bands, allowing for subtle adjustments to your liking. The default setting is my recommendation. The beater angle cannot be changed like on a SPEEDKING. (It can be easily changed by removing and reattaching the screws.)
