A genuine VASS (Ugolini last) shoe tree is included. László Vass, the owner, was born in Budapest, Hungary in 1946. From 1964, he trained as a cutter, seamstress, shoemaker, and designer at the Hungarian Fashion Institute, and then qualified as a shoemaker in 1970. He entered a private workshop specializing in handmade men's and women's shoes, working as an assistant chief designer and shoemaker. In 1978, he opened his own bespoke workshop in the center of Budapest. From 1988, he dedicated himself to traditional shoemaking with 20 staff members. He is also known for winning the International Shoemaking Skills Competition, and many people call his ready-to-wear shoes the best in the world. In fact, Mr. Yamaguchi, the head of the Guild of Crafts, has stated that Vass is the world's best ready-made shoe. Roberto Ugolini, the last maker, is an Italian shoemaker from Florence, Italy. His beautiful and Italian-style bespoke shoes fascinate the world, and many famous shoemakers have trained under him. This pair of shoes was born from a collaboration between a workshop with high technical skills and the aesthetic sense of Italian bespoke. With the three-dimensional K last shape, the instep rises uniquely when viewed from the front. This twisted instep creates a beautiful silhouette. The sole is made of German Rendenbach leather, and the insole sheet is a full sock to the toe, giving it a luxurious feel.
