He was a leading sire of the great sire Sunday Silence, and his outstanding performance in both racing and stud life earned him the titles "The Embodiment of Modern Japanese Horse Racing" and "The Ultimate Thoroughbred." As a racehorse, in 2005, he became the second horse in the history of Japanese horse racing to win the Triple Crown without a loss, following Symboli Rudolf. In 2006, he became the first Japanese-trained horse to be ranked No. 1 in the world in the turf and long-distance categories. As a sire, he was the leading sire in Japan for 11 consecutive years from 2012 to 2022, and produced Derby winners in four countries: Japan, the United Kingdom, France, and Ireland. He achieved historical success both domestically and internationally, with a record 24 wins in domestic classic races and 8 wins in European classic races. In 2020, his progeny Contrail achieved the Triple Crown without a loss, becoming the third horse in Japanese horse racing history to achieve the feat and the first father-son generation to win the Triple Crown without a loss. In 2005, he received the JRA Award for Horse of the Year and Best Three-Year-Old Colt, and in 2006, he received the Horse of the Year and Best Older Horse awards.
