☆ This is a "gozame-ami" (woven with a mat-like pattern) bamboo colander, made by hand from fresh madake bamboo (from Fukuoka Prefecture). The strips of bamboo are carefully beveled one by one for a beautiful and sturdy finish.
☆ The rim is wrapped and secured with 2mm-wide Yamato binding.
☆ This is a high-quality, domestically-produced bamboo colander with excellent drainage and breathability. Bamboo colanders are ideal for cooking because they don't easily form a film of water, allowing for quick drainage, and they are also heat-resistant. Furthermore, they are made from natural materials, so they are safe to use.
☆ It can be used in any season and its delicate weave is beautiful, making it suitable for display as storage (^^)
