Thank you for viewing. This is an old Ichimatsu doll. I received it in an auction quite a while ago. Judging from the facial features, I believe it's from the early Showa era. It's unsigned, but I don't think it's a mass-produced toy type. It's wearing a silk crepe (chirimen) kimono with total shibori (tie-dye), and the dressing is very well done, so I've never changed its clothes. However, I feel that the paper at the base of the arms has deteriorated due to age. The hair is human hair, but the adhesive on the top of the head has come off and needs repair. I considered repairing it myself with commercially available adhesive, but since it's an old item, I thought it would be better to have someone knowledgeable do it, so I'm selling it as is. If you move the crown of the head, the hair at the back will be bald. See images 10 and 11. There are also some stains on the kimono. When it came to me, it had a chigo obi (child's obi) that didn't suit the kimono, so I replaced it. I didn't have an obi that fit, so I used an inexpensive one with paper glued to the back, so you might want to replace it. The face and limbs don't have any noticeable cracks, and the condition is still good, but it's a very old doll, so there may be oversights. I ask for your understanding if you are interested in antiques. It has a very beautiful face. I've cherished it for a long time, so I have some attachment to it, but I'm decluttering, so I hope someone else will cherish it. It is 52 cm tall and is a large doll with a strong presence. Thank you.
