The Series 923-3000 T5 formation, commonly known as "Doctor Yellow," is a Shinkansen electric track inspection vehicle that collects basic data for track maintenance on the Tokaido and Sanyo Shinkansen lines, and is popular as a yellow Shinkansen. KATO has realistically and accurately commercialized it, including the lighting of the "inspection floodlights" that illuminate the pantographs for overhead wire inspection. The Series 923-3000 (T5 formation) was introduced based on the Series 700 Shinkansen and was manufactured in 2005.
