This is a very beautiful piece, with amber-colored crystal molded and satin-finished, featuring Birds of Paradise and Renaissance-style plant arabesques. The frosted background makes the Birds of Paradise and plant motifs stand out softly and three-dimensionally, and the amber layers gently shine when exposed to light. The base is composed of four gilt bronze (ormolu) legs with a design resembling a flowering branch, reflecting Baccarat's heavy craftsmanship from the era when crystal and metal composite art was at its most glamorous. As it is a low-type dessert coupe, it is easy to incorporate into modern Japanese life, and it will beautifully display desserts such as macarons, chocolates, and berries.
