The manufacturer's description is as follows: TR-2 – Walnut Straight • Rich, warm overtones and its dark sound makes the Walnut a popular solo mute. I purchased this used last year. I was attracted to its soft and gentle tone, but when played, it resonates very well, and I felt it was a versatile mute that could be used for both solo and orchestra performances.
