This is a plate with cute illustrations from the Choju-giga (Animal-Person Caricatures). It's lovely for serving sweets as well as other dishes. I found it useful for displaying moon-viewing dumplings on the night of the fifteenth, and also for creating a proper festive atmosphere for New Year's dishes even without using traditional tiered food boxes.
