I am offering a complete set of commemorative stamps from China, "80th Anniversary of the Birth of Comrade Ren Bishi (First Series)". Catalog Number: J.100 (Complete Set) Issue Date: April 30, 1984 Issuing Authority: Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, People's Republic of China Ren Bishi (1904-1950) was born in Xiangyin County, Hunan Province, on April 30, 1904, to a family of teachers. He joined the Chinese Socialist Youth League in 1920 and the Communist Party of China in early 1922. In 1927, he was appointed Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League. He was elected a member of the Central Committee at successive Party congresses after the 5th National Congress of the Communist Party of China in 1927. On October 25, 1950, he suffered a cerebral hemorrhage and, despite receiving emergency treatment, died on the 27th at the age of 46. The Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications of the People's Republic of China issued this commemorative stamp on April 30, 1984. The design of this stamp features a standard portrait of Ren Bishi based on a sketch from 1949, with a grayish-brown color scheme. A relief is applied to the lower edge of the portrait. I believe it is in good condition for a used item from that time. Please check the images for details. No returns or exchanges. Shipping costs will be covered by me.
