These are water-soluble colored pencils, and they come with a pencil sharpener and a brush. There are 72 colors, which is great for expressing subtle color differences. The leads feel a bit hard, but not so much that they're difficult to use. When blended with water, the pigments create slightly different hues, which is enjoyable.
