Vertex Dirty Dozen W.W.W. Broad Arrow Royal Army MoD Dial This item was purchased this year. I am selling it to organize my collection, as my collection of military watches, including this piece, has grown too large. This is a piece sold by dazzling in Omotesando, and it was overhauled last year (December 2024). The original dial was radium, but due to health concerns and aging, it appears to have been re-dialed with tritium specifications by the British Army in the 1960s. Therefore, the dial has the 【T swiss made T】 marking often seen on 1960s watches. Similar MoD dials can also be found on CYMA watches, etc. (Photo 13 ※Reference photo) While the back cover and case of Dirty Dozen watches are often replaced with those from other companies, I believe that this piece is definitely a Vertex product, with both the back cover and case being Vertex-made. The wire lugs were deformed at the time of purchase, but I had them repaired. Although it's not perfect as it was an original piece, I think they have been corrected relatively well. As it was overhauled last year, the mechanical condition is very good. I am not a retailer, so I cannot provide a warranty, but when fully wound, the daily rate appears to be within 10 seconds visually. (There is no hacking function, so it's just a visual estimate.) The body has some plating wear and tear due to aging, but it has not been polished or re-plated, and I believe it retains the good atmosphere of the time. Currently, many Dirty Dozen watches on the market have an unknown service history or are in poor mechanical condition, so those that have been serviced by shops familiar with antique watches are valuable. The price is set to include the cost of the lug repair, in addition to the purchase price. I was also given a very good price, but I think this is still a great deal. This is an antique watch that is nearly 80 years old since its manufacture. Even though the condition is good, please handle it with care.
