Shawl collar jacket from around the 1930s. The black and brown check pattern and the coarsely woven fabric give it a very atmospheric look, typical of the era. With a short length and wide body, the silhouette is reminiscent of an A-1 jacket, but the shawl collar makes it a piece with strong workwear/costume elements. Inside, a barcode tag from Western Costume remains, suggesting that it was managed and used for costume purposes in later years. The history that can only be felt in vintage items is also appealing.
