This is a Kabazaiku (cherry bark craft) corner tray made in the Kakunodate region of Akita Prefecture, using the bark of cherry trees. It is made of natural wood. The surface is transparently processed to bring out the beautiful wood grain. The grain resembles the flowing of a graceful river. Cherry blossoms of spring and autumn leaves are depicted with cherry bark. There is also one mother-of-pearl cherry blossom, though it is subtle. The cherry blossoms and autumn leaves appear to be floating on the river's current. This item conveys the gentleness of natural materials. It is an unused item that has been stored.
