This exhibition, which comprehensively displays works from his early period as a commercial illustrator in the 1950s to his later works, was held only in Kyoto. This was the first exhibition in Japan composed solely of works from the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, USA. Of the approximately 200 works and 15 video pieces on display, over 100 were being shown in Japan for the first time.
