This is a lace napkin for holding bread, purchased in Europe (I think it was Belgium, but it was a long time ago, so it might have been Malta or somewhere else). I bought several and am selling the unused ones. You tie the string to create a frame, put the bread inside, and serve it. It looks like a flower and is very cute.
