Includes a 16-page booklet. The discs, jacket, and box have no noticeable scratches or damage. Disc-1 has some slight cloudiness on the disc, but there are no playback issues. A 6-disc box set featuring the five original albums released between 1960 and 1964, each with bonus tracks, plus a collection of alternative tracks. Each disc is in a paper sleeve. Formed in the early 1960s in the south of France, likely the earliest French rock and roll band, centered around Eddy Mitchell (who left in '63) who later became a solo singer. Influenced by Gene Vincent and others, they had a rock and roll band sound with rather rough playing (or rather, they didn't know how to play/record), but unintentionally became the originators of punk/garage. It's ironic that they disbanded just before The Beatles' breakthrough. Their English name is "The Black Socks."
