BOSS Chorus Ensemble CH-1 Based on the serial number, this unit appears to be a Taiwan-made product from September 1989. This is a truly fundamental pedal for guitar chorus effects, I think. The chorus effect sounds good anywhere you set the knobs, as long as you don't crank up the RATE too much. It doesn't have a harsh sound quality, but rather a subtle effect. The chorus effect comes through even if you have a distortion pedal in front of it, but it seems to work better with clean tones. If you're unsure which chorus effect to get, I think you should start with this BOSS CH-1. The condition of the product is as shown in the images, but there are no major scratches, and the paint and plastic parts show little signs of use, so I think it's in beautiful condition. There are some minor scratches, so please refrain from purchasing if you are sensitive to the appearance. All knobs work perfectly without any scratchiness. There is a crack in the guide bush of the opening/closing screw for battery replacement, so I've included a new part inside the battery box. Please replace it yourself if necessary.
