This is a large wooden, lacquered *choushi* (sake pouring vessel) made 180 years ago, in the second year of the Koka era (1845). It is a powerful set of *choushi*, housed in its original box from 180 years ago. As it is an antique item, there is some minor damage: a small chip about the size of a toothpick head at the base of the handle of one *choushi*, and some flaking of the lacquer on the edge of the lid (photos 13 and 14). However, it is hardly noticeable, and the rest of the piece is remarkably clean, with no problems for use or display. There are no chips, dents, or scratches on the body. The condition is good, considering it was made 180 years ago (likely because it was stored and not used for a long time). Please refrain from purchasing if you are looking for a modern, perfect item.
