This is a two-piece Nagoya obi, originally a regular Nagoya obi, that I had altered by a kimono shop after receiving it from a relative. I have never used it since it was converted to a two-piece style, and it is in overall very beautiful condition (the condition before I received it is unknown). The obi features a deep, elegant purple crepe fabric with a modern geometric pattern dyed on it. Within the pattern, lovely floral motifs, arabesque designs, and a lattice-like ground weave are delicately drawn, creating a design that is both calm and華やかさ. It has the soft texture characteristic of dyed obis and is perfect for casual to semi-formal outfits such as komono, tsumugi, and iromuji. Because it is a two-piece style, it is easy to put on, and I think you can use it for a wide range of occasions, from everyday wear to slightly more formal settings. When I had it made into a two-piece style, I paid close attention to usability and made a custom order. By making the width of the body wrap slightly wider than the general 15-15.5cm, it provides a sense of stability, and even those with larger builds can wear it with good balance. Also, by placing the ties lower, the lower part of the obi can be firmly stabilized, and the ties can be inserted directly under the obi. The obi fabric is soft and light, so I think it will be comfortable to wear for long periods. The dimensions are shown below, but please forgive any errors due to amateur measurements.
