A Louis-Philippe Duc LP initialed piece. It features a painting of a fox and a monkey, and is from the furnishings of the Fontainebleau Palace. It is believed to have been used at the Duke's banquets or, given its lack of damage, was a spare piece that made its way to market. Made in 1846. Some of the gold gilding is chipped.
