The "Hold Brake System," which is now commonly equipped in recently sold cars, fixes (holds) the brakes while the car is stopped, such as at traffic lights or in traffic jams, allowing you to take your foot off the brake pedal and smoothly start again with the accelerator. This is a very convenient feature that eliminates the need to keep your foot on the pedal or frantically switch pedals when the light changes, but there's just one drawback... When you turn off the engine, the hold function turns OFF, and you have to turn the switch back on the next time you drive, which is a hassle. When you start the engine, close the driver's side door, and fasten the driver's seatbelt, the green hold function standby indicator automatically lights up. After that, when you step on the brake and stop at a traffic light, the yellow HOLD lamp lights up, and the car will not move forward even if you take your foot off the brake pedal. The brakes are held. If you want to return to the original state, such as during a vehicle inspection, you can turn the function OFF by pressing and holding the brake hold switch for 7 seconds.
