It's recommended to place it snugly under your neck, but you can also use it in combination with a regular pillow to adjust the height, or place it under your lower back for a comfortable feel. The cotton is firmly packed, so it won't sink in and will conform comfortably to your body, providing excellent sleep quality. It can be machine-washed in a laundry net. It's lightweight, so you can take it with you when you travel. This is a handmade item, so please understand that there may be slight imperfections.
