Ashes and Snow was first held in Venice, Italy in 2002. In 2005, the exhibition began its journey around the world with the completion of the Nomadic Museum's mobile permanent exhibition facility. It moved from New York (January-May 2005) to Santa Monica (January-May 2006). The exhibition, consisting of 100 large-format photographs and 35mm film footage by artist Gregory Colbert, continues to travel to cities around the world. Tokyo (March-June 2007). This work is a poster from the New York exhibition. It is a limited edition of 2,000 prints, printed in Italy. This poster is an offset print.
