Ryosen Kouda, Daisojo (Great Priest) 99th Chief Priest of Zenko-ji Daikanjin Zenko-ji Daikanjin is the head temple of the Tendai sect and is the main temple of the 25 temples within Zenko-ji. It manages Zenko-ji along with Daigan-in, and the chief priest is called the Kanju (chief priest), who, along with the Zenko-ji Shonin of Daigan-in, serves as the chief priest of Zenko-ji. I understand that my family obtained this through their participation in the sutra copying sessions at Zenko-ji Daikanjin.
