This is a double-edged usuba knife from Aritugu, a Kyoto-based blacksmith established in 1560 (Eiroku 3). Aritugu knives are considered high-end, with the saying "Aritugu of the West, Masamoto of the East" (a knife for life if cared for properly). It's a relatively small and easy-to-use size (18.0 cm). It has been stored in its box for a considerable amount of time with little use, so the outer box has some scratches and stains, but there are no visible scratches on the knife itself. It comes with the original blade cover and a bookmark.
