Both the tray and the Japanese plates have been used a few times and then stored for a period of time. The tray has yellow streaks like peeling scratches in the carved lines throughout, and the wood grain part also has very small protrusions and transparent streaks that are visible when light hits it, as well as transparent light stains throughout. There are also some light stains on the back, and a white stain on one corner. The Japanese plates have some scratches and blackening on the back from stacking. Both have some signs of use, but they have a lovely design and are sturdy, so I think they can still be used by those who don't mind. Please refrain from purchasing if you are looking for perfect cleanliness or if you are concerned about any imperfections. Please forgive any minor oversights. There is no box, so I will wrap them in cushioning material and ship them in a cardboard box. (Please understand that if there is no box of the right size, the cardboard box may be patched together.)
